Osteopathy & Chiropractic share many similarities, but also many differences. The main difference from a patient’s experience is that osteopath’s tend to use a wide range of techniques including; deep soft tissue massage, stretching, joint articulation, joint manipulation (high-velocity low-amplitude), exercise prescription, and many more. Although Chiropractors can use these techniques, they tend to mainly focus on using joint manipulation as their primary treatment technique.

At Links Health & Performance, we pride ourselves on minimising treatment where possible. Our Osteopath’s actively encourage patients to take an active role in their treatment and rehab, to enable a smooth transition to full self-management.
During your first session, your osteopath will assess your condition, perform a full case history, review your medical history, and inquire as to any potentially related work or environmental stressors. This is all to fully understand the issue, and it’s probable root cause.
